Monitaur leads the way in end-to-end governance for modeling systems. From inventory to deep technical validation, our goal is to make it easy for you to prove that your most important modeling systems are safe, compliant, responsible, and trustworthy.
As an AWS Cloud Infrastructure Engineer, you’ll be architecting the backbone of Monitaur's products and ensuring they scale and integrate to meet our clients’ AI needs. Our stack includes a Python backend leveraging the Django framework and Vue on the frontend, all hosted on AWS. Your work will support the next generation of features and customers on our platform.
Responsibilities
- Improve and maintain platform security, proactively defend against evolving threats
- Triage security vulnerabilities, patch systems within established SLAs
- Scale systems to meet growing numbers of clients
- Optimize systems for cost savings
- Participate in operational and emergency production support
- Make architectural changes and own implementing them
- Anticipate future infrastructure needs based on growth trajectories and plan accordingly with the director of engineering
- Optimize infrastructure in support of SDLC
- Write monitors and alerts for key systems
- Collaborate with teams globally across multiple time zones and operate in an agile development environment
Must haves
- At least 4 years professional experience providing cloud solutions
- AWS Certified Solutions Architect – Associate
- Experience running AWS production workloads (cross account, multi region environments preferred)
- Experience with Docker orchestration tools like ECS (preferred) or Kubernetes
- Experience with serverless compute technologies like Fargate and Lambda
- Experience with Infrastructure as Code (Terraform/Terragrunt preferred)
- Experience with CI/CD pipelines & various deployment methods
- Strong scripting/development experience (Python preferred)
- Experience managing SQL databases (RDS with Postgres preferred)
- Experience with network design and implementation (VPC, Security Groups, routing)
- Proven ability to work autonomously, manage trade-offs, and wear multiple hats in a fast-moving environment
- You are authorized to work in the US without sponsorship and reside in the US
Nice to haves
- AWS certified professional Architect
- Experience with AWS Cognito, Okta, or Auth0 (Auth0 preferred)
- Experience with disaster recovery planning
- Experience with Big Data Processing (EMR preferred)
- Experience with Django
- Experience with JavaScript / Vue
- Asynchronous task processing (Celery with RabbitMQ preferred)
- Familiarity with ML workflows and data platforms
- Experience thriving in fast-paced startup environments
- Bachelors or Masters degree in Computer Science or related field
